Aims: 

  • to foster holistic character development;
  • to motivate and grow a deeper interest in studying foreign languages;
  • to offer opportunities to converse with native speakers and thereby gain real-life experience in a different language in order to develop fluency in the areas of speaking and writing;
  • to create an environment where students appreciate the aesthetics and beauty of speech;
  • to offer opportunities for cooperative group work;
  • to develop the ability to work well together in groups;
  • to teach tolerance towards one’s own culture and others’ as well;
  • to build upon previous knowledge about English history, culture and traditions;
  • to broaden understanding about the culture and traditions of Turkey and other participating countries;
  • to expose students to world-famous places of interest in the host countries.
